About RapCity 

The RapCity Festival is a Hip Hop Festival that started 14th years ago and has become the biggest hip hop festival in South Africa with International and Local hip hop artist such A-Reece and Lost Boyz. This is an one day event with with 3 stages, food, clothes, competitions and live graffiti art. The new theme of this festival is StreetBash. The StreetBash theme is a tribute to where the genre hip hop began, originated as a specific street subculture. The theme focuses on what hip hop is all about and what it meant to the streets from battle rap to break dancing and beyond. 

Coming up with the theme had it's challenges, but the aim for the new theme is to be authentic and have something that represents the culture of hip hop, culture is not all about the music it's about the influence of the music, and knowing the origins of hip hop, street bash theme came to life.
